Americans abroad at 'high risk' of ISIS kidnappings, terrorist attacks, U.S. warns
In a Friday statement, the U.S. State Department warned Americans traveling in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and parts of Europe to be on high alert for terrorist attacks. Kidnappings have been increasing prevalent as ISIS, Al Qaeda and other extremist groups try to finance their operations with ransom money.
