Tshisekedi and Kagame Meet in Doha; M23 Boycotts Angola Talks: The M23 militia has announced they are withdrawing from talks with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo because EU sanctions against Rwandan officials earlier in the day "undermined" negotiations.
After a decade of refusing direct talks with the M23 fighters, DR Congo President Felix Tshisekedi announced last week that he was ready to meet with the M23 group after a meeting with his Angolan counterpart, who has acted as a mediator in the conflict.

Hazzaa AlMansoori got a royal welcome as he returned to the UAE after becoming the first Emirati in space and the first Arab on the International Space Station (ISS). His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Hazzaa and his mission's backup astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi as they landed at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi on Saturday evening.
